How a Mature Claude Workflow Across Jira, Apex Development, and Deployment Is Accelerating Catalyst Phase 2! for Conterra Networks
The Challenge
Conterra Networks, a telecommunications provider, launched Catalyst Phase 2!
A New Product Catalog Structure and MACD (Move/Add/Change/Disconnect) Process rebuild on Salesforce CPQ to align its product catalog with communications industry standards, following the TM Forum framework. A modern product catalog structure gives sales and delivery teams a governed, consistent foundation to configure and quote from, while the new MACD process brings structured, ongoing management to how existing assets and subscriptions are added to, moved, changed, and disconnected over their lifecycle.
Building this required a small team to move quickly across the full delivery lifecycle, sprint planning, business-rule analysis, Apex/Flow development, and deployment, without adding headcount, and without breaking anything already in production.
The Solution
Nespon brought deep Salesforce/enterprise delivery expertise combined with hands-on Claude implementation experience, embedding Claude across the full PM-to-DevOps lifecycle from the start of the project in March 2026:
- Claude Code: For Apex and Flow development, creating fields, code review, and iteration
- Claude Cowork: For cross-functional documentation, configuration, and business-rule analysis
- Claude’s Jira and Bitbucket integration: Linking AI-assisted work sessions directly to sprint tickets, so usage and output stayed traceable to specific stories
By the time of measurement, the team had real maturity in how it used Claude, including custom skills and agents built specifically for the project, so the results below reflect steady, day-to-day usage rather than an early learning curve.
The Results
Measured July–August 2026
- 16 Apex classes and 28 Flows delivered, plus 305+ business rules analyzed as part of the catalog rebuild
- 110+ Claude sessions logged across the two months, with 97% of sessions linked to a Jira ticket for full traceability
- 75 stories delivered across 4 sprints, closing 14% under planned story points, rising to 18% under plan on repeatable-pattern work
